On the afternoon of March 4, 2024, Dr. Bader Abdullah Al Matrooshi, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of United Arab Emirates (UAE) at Vietnam came to visit and hold a working session at PTSC Dung Quat Port as part of his official trip to Quang Ngai province. Joining the Ambassador’s delegation were representatives from Department of Foreign Affairs at Quang Ngai, Management Board of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks, Maritime Administration of Quang Ngai, as well as economic experts and specialists providing business solutions for both domestic and international enterprises.
During the reception, Ambassador Bader Abdullah Al Matrooshi highlighted positive developments in economic cooperation between the UAE and Vietnam in recent years. He emphasized that the total trade turnover between the two countries had exceeded $8 billion over the past two years, making it the highest among Middle Eastern nations cooperating with Vietnam. Notably, cooperation and investment between businesses from both countries in industries such as manufacturing, energy, and logistics are expected to strengthen further following the anticipated signing of the UAE–Vietnam Bilateral Free Trade Agreement (FTA) in 2024.
Hosting the reception of the Ambassadorial Delegation, Mr. Le Hong Phong, Director of PTSC Quang Ngai Joint Stock Company, expressed his honor in welcoming the Ambassador. He provided an overview of capabilities and services of PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC) as a whole, as well as those of PTSC Quang Ngai specifically. Additionally, he highlighted the company’s key service areas and potential opportunities for expanded cooperation between PTSC Quang Ngai and UAE partners.
Ambassador Bader Abdullah Al Matrooshi was highly impressed and showed great interest in PTSC Quang Ngai. He engaged in discussions with the company’s leadership, raising several questions to gain deeper insight into PTSC Quang Ngai’s interest in seeking investment partners and expanding cooperation with UAE enterprises, particularly major UAE companies specializing in renewable energy solutions (wind power) and mechanical fabrication.
At the conclusion of the visit, PTSC Quang Ngai representatives had the opportunity to exchange a warm handshake and receive a commemorative gift from Ambassador Bader Abdullah Al Matrooshi. Both parties expressed their commitment to maintaining close connections and following up on the discussions from this visit, aiming to soon realize potential cooperation opportunities in the near future.
