From November 2 to 3, 2023, PTSC Quang Ngai underwent a re-certification audit conducted by a team of experts from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) at its Dung Quat Mechanical Workshop. The evaluation focused on the company’s adherence to ASME and National Board Inspection Code (NBIC) standards for the fabrication, installation, repair, and alteration of boilers and pressure vessels.
In response to the increasingly competitive market landscape, the growing demand for global integration, and evolving customer expectations, PTSC Quang Ngai’s management took proactive measures by establishing an ASME Re-Certification Implementation Team on September 4, 2023. Tasked with overseeing the re-certification process for ASME “U”, “S”, and NBIC “R” stamps, the team was responsible for updating essential documentation and procedures to meet the latest standards. This included revisions to the Quality Control Manual, and coordination of the design, procurement, fabrication, inspection, and testing of a demonstration product. The team also worked closely with the ASME Authorized Inspection Agency (AIA) throughout the process.
Over a two-month period, the ASME Team, in collaboration with the AIA, diligently prepared and updated all relevant quality control documentation. Their efforts ensured full compliance with the latest editions of ASME and NBIC standards across all aspects of design, material procurement, fabrication, inspection, and testing. During the audit, the team showcased the effective implementation of the Quality Control System in accordance with ASME/NBIC requirements, which earned high commendation from the ASME audit leader. As a result, PTSC Quang Ngai’s certification has been successfully renewed for the upcoming term.
This re-certification reaffirms PTSC Quang Ngai’s technical competency and operational excellence in the field of boiler and pressure vessel fabrication and services. It reinforces the company’s position among leading domestic and regional players and enhances its competitiveness in the international market.
