Amid a dynamic and fast-paced construction atmosphere, as PTSC Quang Ngai Joint Stock Company (PTSC Quang Ngai) is simultaneously implementing multiple large-scale industrial construction projects across the country, at the site of the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) package under the “Project for the Construction of an Additional Crude Oil Storage Tank for the Existing Dung Quat Refinery,” PTSC Quang Ngai is mobilizing maximum resources and organizing construction with strong determination and high productivity, aiming to complete and hand over the project to the Owner in accordance with the planned schedule.
| The project is invested by Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) and is executed under the EPC (Engineering – Procurement – Construction) model by a consortium comprising PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC), PTSC Quang Ngai Joint Stock Company (PTSC Quang Ngai), and BCA Thang Long One Member Company Limited (BCA – Thang Long). The project is being constructed within the premises of the Dung Quat Oil Refinery and includes one crude oil storage tank with a capacity of 65,000 m³. |

At the construction site, PTSC Quang Ngai has mobilized a team of experienced engineers, skilled workers, while closely coordinating with consortium partners to organize construction in a scientific manner and strictly control the progress of each work item. The installation of the tank structure, quality control, and occupational safety are being implemented in a synchronized manner, in strict compliance with the project’s high technical requirements.
A significant milestone has recently been achieved at the project site, as PTSC Quang Ngai successfully completed the installation of the final shell course of the storage tank, contributing to the completion of the main structural framework and creating favorable conditions for subsequent work items in accordance with the project schedule.
During construction, PTSC Quang Ngai has proactively applied innovative improvement solutions to optimize construction methods, enhance accuracy, shorten execution time, and gradually standardize construction approaches with high applicability. Specifically, a hydraulic jacking system has been deployed, consisting of 11 modules, each operating 5 hydraulic jacks, with a total of 55 hydraulic jacks and 11 pump stations, each jack having a lifting capacity of 25 tons. The entire system is controlled by a central PLC, allowing flexible operation in automatic, semi-automatic, or manual modes depending on each construction phase. This solution is applied in lifting and assembling the tank shell courses, contributing to synchronization in construction, improved accuracy, enhanced technical safety, and optimized construction progress at the site.
According to the latest progress updates, many project components have been fabricated, completed, transported, and installed at the site. In parallel, works related to the tank structure, technical systems, and auxiliary facilities are being carried out intensively, contributing to maintaining the overall project schedule.

Upon completion and commissioning, the new storage tank will increase the total crude oil storage capacity of the Dung Quat Oil Refinery to approximately 585,000 m³. The project is expected to enhance the refinery’s capability to store various types of crude oil and feedstock, improve operational flexibility, and ensure a stable supply of raw materials for production.
