On the morning of October 9, 2024, Quang Ngai Petroleum Services Joint Stock Company (PTSC Quang Ngai) completed the test run and successfully delivered the E-1135 heat exchanger to the T-1107 tower of Dung Quat Oil Refinery. This is one of the most important bid packages of the Project ” Adding a Heat Exchanger between Dried LGO stream and Full Range Naphtha (FRN) stream to the T1107 tower ” invested by Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) with 05 main bid packages.
Specifically, by signing the contract in December 2023, PTSC Quang Ngai is the Contractor assigned to carry out Package No. 4 – Procurement, construction, installation and commissioning for the entire: technological equipment, control system, pipeline materials and accessories, pipe support steel structure, etc. After more than 7 months of continuous work and despite some technical challenges, procurement progress, especially ensuring strict safety standards, the package has been supplied, installed according to the schedule committed to the customer and completed for handover.
One of the biggest challenges was adjusting the design of the TSV-329 discharge point compared to the original design to ensure operating pressure, minimize the risk of high back pressure, thereby enhancing the safety of the heat exchange system. In addition, the design of the E-1135 heat exchanger also requires absolute precision to ensure that the refrigerant flow is distributed effectively and evenly. The smallest error in the installation process can lead to serious consequences, affecting the entire system. Therefore, it requires the engineering team to calculate optimal technical solutions and fully meet the standards of API 660, ASME Section VIII Div.1/Div.2, … to minimize risks during operation.

The E-1135 heat exchanger is a high-tech product, designed in the form of a tube and shell to perform the task of heat exchange between two liquid streams with different temperatures and pressures. With its advanced design, the E-1135 not only meets strict technical requirements but also has the ability to operate stably in complex industrial environments. This is one of the important improvements in the process of upgrading the Dung Quat Oil Refinery, helping to optimize the production process, save energy and improve the operational efficiency of the Plant. The event of completing the test run and handing over the E-1135 heat exchanger to the Investor BSR continues to be a testament to the efforts and professionalism of PTSC Quang Ngai.
