On August 25th, 2024, PTSC Quang Ngai Joint Stock Company (PTSC Quang Ngai) successfully handed over the first shipment of equipment for the Exhaust System with total volume of 773 tons to be transported to Jurong Port, Singapore. This is also the largest product cluster size of Exhaust stack equipment that PTSC Quang Ngai has ever processed. Each system has height up to 34.3 meters and is composed of more than 386,040 parts directly designed by PTSC Quang Ngai’s partner.
After being transported to Jurong, Singapore, the equipment components will be installed for the construction of the Jurong Gas Turbine Power Plant, an important national project of Singapore. The project was started in May 2023 with a design capacity up to 680MW and uses modern “F-series” gas turbine technology that permits the transition to hydrogen fuel and reducing CO2 emissions. Jurong Power Gas Turbine Plant is expected to put into commercial operation from the beginning of 2025. This is significance in meeting electricity demand as well as stabilizing the overall power grid in Singapore.
Hand over packages on board
Eight months of endeavor
The total manufacturing volume carried out by PTSC Quang Ngai is about 1300 tons for 02 units including diverse products such as: Stack, elbow duct, silencer, support structure etc… With such a large volume and scale of product size, after receiving Purchase Order, PTSC Quang Ngai has determined that this will be one of the top export mechanical processing projects in 2024, containing many challenges in the construction process. It requires the Project Team to be determined to focus on implementation and closely supervise to control risks and ensure project milestones.
After more than 08 months of efforts to implement with a drastic spirit, team-works between technical and procurement teams, PTSC Quang Ngai has successfully handed over 44 bulk packages at Dung Quat port, meeting customer expectations. Following the success of the projects that have been implemented at Dung Quat Mechanical Workshop with total export volume up to thousands of tons and export to global market in recent years, PTSC Quang Ngai has constantly improved skills, strengthened the accumulation of special capacity and experience in manufacturing large-scale mechanical equipment, meet the strict requirements of industrial safety and international quality standards.
According to the plan, it is expected that the remaining workload will be completed and handed over to customers in mid-September 2024.
