Implementing the Youth Union and Youth Movement Program in 2025, practically celebrating the 84th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization (May 15, 1941 – May 15, 2025 and the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2025); PTSC Quang Ngai Youth Union (YU) coordinated with the Command Board of the Quang Ngai Provincial Border Guard and the Quang Ngai City Youth Union to organize the Journey to the Red Address with the theme “Following His footsteps – Continuing the Dream of the country” combined with the program “Volunteer in the Highlands” taking place on May 9, 2025 in Ba To district, Quang Ngai province.
The journey began with an incense offering ceremony at the Ba To Uprising Monument to commemorate the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. Each incense stick is a word of gratitude, a promise – that today’s generation will follow in the footsteps of their predecessors, living up to the noble sacrifices of their predecessors.
Continuing the journey, the delegation went to the Ba To Uprising Museum, listening to the story of the birth of the Ba To Guerrilla Team – the first flame that lit up the revolutionary fighting spirit in the Central region. Through each relic, each story, historical images seemed to come alive in the hearts of today’s young people. This was not just a tour, but an opportunity for the Youth Union to imbue revolutionary ideals, arouse patriotism, sense of responsibility and courage to build the Fatherland.
Not only stopping at the glorious past, the journey also opens the door to the changing reality. In Gia Vuc village, Ba Vi commune, Ba To district, the model of raising spotted deer, growing fruit trees and bamboo shoots of young man Vu Duc Thang has become a living proof of the spirit of starting a business from the land, getting rich from the homeland. Mr. Thang’s sincere sharing adds confidence to young people who are finding their own way in the new era.
In the afternoon, the volunteer footsteps continued to bring knowledge and love to Ba Le Primary and Secondary School with the program “Volunteering in the Highlands”. At the program, the delegation presented the project “Knowledge Nurturing Bookcase” to the school; presented 1,000 white notebooks to the school’s students; presented 200 national flags to the Youth Union of Ba Le commune to carry out the project “National Flag Route” and 01 Vietnam Map to the school’s Union.
In addition, the delegation also awarded 20 scholarships (worth 300,000 VND/scholarship) to 20 children in difficult circumstances to sow more hope and motivate them to continue going to school and continue their journey of knowledge.
The journey to the red address with the theme “Following his footsteps – Continuing the dream of the country” and the program “Volunteering in the highlands” of PTSC Quang Ngai youth, Quang Ngai Provincial Border Guard Command and Quang Ngai City Youth Union have ended successfully. This is not just a journey back to our roots, but also a journey to cultivate a beautiful ideal of life, continuing the revolutionary tradition, contributing to building an increasingly prosperous homeland.
This practical activity has contributed to spreading the image of PTSC Quang Ngai youth as dynamic, responsible, joining hands to build new rural areas, develop the economy and society in difficult areas, while educating traditions, fostering patriotism, and beautiful living ideals for young union members in the new era.
