Package No. 6 – Maintenance Service Contract for Single Point Mooring System (SPM) during the 5th Turnaround (TA5) at Dung Quat Refinery was assigned by the Investor, Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR), to the consortium of PTSC Quang Ngai Joint Stock Company (PTSC Quang Ngai) and PV College. The project required extremely stringent quality and schedule compliance.
Facing numerous challenges, including unfavorable weather conditions, the difficulties of working in a marine environment, and the complexity of the tasks involved, the consortium of PTSC Quang Ngai & PV College successfully leveraged its extensive offshore experience, thorough preparation, and strong determination. With close coordination, timely direction, and support from BSR’s leadership, the team worked continuously for 20 days to complete critical work items and successfully handed over the SPM system on schedule on March 30, 2024.

Immediately after the handover, the SPM system received its first crude oil tanker, marking a post-maintenance milestone with an intake of 91,000 tons into Dung Quat Refinery’s crude oil storage tanks. Amidst the ongoing efforts of other contractors racing against time to meet targets for Safety, Quality, Schedule, and Cost, the successful completion and handover of the SPM system by the consortium of PTSC Quang Ngai – PV College played a significant role in motivating and energizing other work packages to accelerate toward on-time completion.
