On November 5, 2025, representing the Contractor Consortium, PTSC Quang Ngai Joint Stock Company (PTSC Quang Ngai) officially completed the handover of five heat exchanger units under the “Procurement of Heat Exchanger Equipment E-1128A/B/C/D/E” package to the Investor, Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR). This is a replacement equipment item designed to enhance the heating capacity of wash water for the Desalter system in the crude distillation unit (U11) at Dung Quat Refinery.

The contract was signed and implemented on March 17, 2025, with an execution period of eight months. The Contractor is responsible for the full scope of supply and installation of the heat exchanger system, including fabrication, pressure testing, equipment and piping installation, and system commissioning in accordance with approved design standards.
The E-1128A/B/C/D/E heat exchangers were manufactured in compliance with stringent international standards such as ASME Section VIII Division 1 and TEMA, meeting the pressure and temperature requirements of the U11 unit operating conditions. Throughout the execution process, the Contractor Consortium consistently upheld the “ONE TEAM – ONE GOAL” philosophy, ensuring seamless coordination from engineering and fabrication supervision to quality inspection, transportation, and final handover. The project team strictly complied with Quality, Schedule, and Health–Safety–Environment (HSE) KPIs, achieving Zero Lost Time Injury (Zero LTI) and no major non-conformities up to the completion and handover stage.

The heat exchangers, once put into operation, are expected to improve heat transfer performance and optimize energy consumption. In addition, the conversion from fixed tube sheet to removable tube bundle design will facilitate cleaning and maintenance activities, thereby enhancing reliability and operational stability of this equipment train in the crude distillation unit.
