On the morning of March 4, 2025, in Binh Thuan commune, Binh Son district, Quang Ngai province, as part of activities commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Ba To Uprising and the 50th anniversary of Quang Ngai Province Liberation Day, PTSC Quang Ngai Joint Stock Company (PTSC Quang Ngai) solemnly held the Groundbreaking Ceremony of Dung Quat Petroleum Mechanical Service Area Project. The ceremony welcomed representatives from Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks Authority (DEZA), local official leaders, customers and partners of PTSC Quang Ngai. From the Investor’s side, there was the presence of Mr. Pham Van Hung – Vice President of PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC)/Chairman of PTSC Quang Ngai, Mr. Le Hong Phong – Director and representatives of the leaders and staff of PTSC Quang Ngai.
The Dung Quat Petroleum Mechanical Service Area Project was received an investment policy approval from DEZA under Decision No. 16/QD-BQL dated January 24, 2025 (3rd adjustment) and Construction Permit No. 03/GPXD dated February 18, 2025. The project covers 13.4 hectares, with a total investment of nearly VND 300 billion, and will be developed in two phases. Phase I is expected to be completed in 2025, and Phase II by 2027.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Hong Phong – Director of PTSC Quang Ngai Company emphasized that with a capacity of 10,000 tons of fabricated products annually, the project investment will meet the increasing demand for high-quality technical services in the fields of oil and gas, industry and energy. With a modern scale and synchronous infrastructure, the project will be a center for providing manufacturing services for domestic and export oil and gas projects, industrial projects, contributing to the supply chain for the National Oil Refinery and Energy Center as well as future renewable energy projects in the Central region in particular and in the whole country. He also committed to on-schedule execution, high construction quality, safety compliance, and environmental protection.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hai Truong – Deputy Head of DEZA urged the investor to allocate resources effectively, ensure timely completion, and strictly follow safety and environmental regulations. He also highly appreciated the efforts of PTSC Quang Ngai in dedicating resources to invest in the project, thereby playing an important role in promoting the socio-economic development of the locality and affirmed that DEZA will accompany and support the investor during the implementation process.
After the speeches of PTSC Quang Ngai leaders and guests, the groundbreaking ceremony of Dung Quat Petroleum Mechanical Service Area Project was officially commenced, marking a significant milestone in the project’s development.
The groundbreaking ceremony of Dung Quat Oil and Gas Service Area Project was successfully held, promising to deliver significant economic and technical benefits to the oil and gas and supporting industries in Central of Vietnam. The event not only marked a new step forward for PTSC Quang Ngai but also contributed significantly to the development of Dung Quat Economic Zone in particular and the Central region’s oil and gas mechanical industry in general.
