In order to encourage the learning spirit of the employees’ offspring in the whole Vietnam Petroleum Technical Service Corporation, with the consent of the Part Committee and Leaders of PTSC, from July 15 to July 17, 2018, PTSC’s Trade Union and Youth Union organized a Commendation and exchange ceremony to meet outstanding and excellent students of the 2017-2018 school year in Nghe An and Quang Binh provinces.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Do Anh Tuan – Deputy Secretary of PVN’s Youth Union; Mr. Thai Quoc Hiep – Former Secretary of the Party Committee, Former Chairman of PTSC’s Board of Management; Mr. Le Manh Cuong – President and CEO of PTSC’s Board of Directors; Comrade Nguyen Tran Toan – Vice President of PTSC’s Board of Directors, Chairman of PTSC’s Trade Union; Mr. Vu Minh Lai – Chairman of PTSC’s Veterans Association, Mr. Nguyen Tan Vinh – Secretary of PTSC’s Youth Union and members of the Standing Committee of Trade Union, Youth Union of PTSC, representatives of the Party Committee, Leaders, Trade Union, Youth Union members of units under PTSC, parents and especially the participation of 100 typical excellent students out of 113 excellent students who are received commendation in the 2017-2018 school year.

PTSC Quang Ngai’s good and excellent student group has up to 18 students attending at this exchange meeting, the largest number of the ones compared to the participating teams. They are excellent students who have achieved many achievements in districts, cities and national excellent student contests, many of whom have continuously achieved excellent results for many years and become good faces in the Commendation Ceremony of the Corporation such as:

  • Nguyen Bui Trang Nhung – 2 consecutive years winning the third prize in the provincial excellent student contest in English;
  • Nguyen Thanh Nhan – third prize in the provincial excellent student competition in Physics (2016 – 2017); Bronze medal in Olympic Southern Contest in Physics for 10th grade (2017 – 2018);
  • Truong Hoang Thi – 3 consecutive years winning the third prizes in district excellent student contests in Mathematics;
  • Hoang Thi Quynh Anh – 3 consecutive years winning prizes in the provincial/Municipal excellent student contests in Literature;
  • Nguyen Thi Hong Hao – 3 consecutive years winning prizes in district excellent student contests in Literature;
  • Nguyen Huu Chi – 2 consecutive years winning the second prize at the provincial excellent student contests in Chemistry;
  • Nguyen Thuy Khanh, Vo Thi Khanh Ly – 2 consecutive years winning prizes at the provincial excellent student contests in Literature;

At the ceremony (in the afternoon of July 13, 2018), student Hoang Thi Quynh Anh – representing for a group of excellent students of PTSC Quang Ngai shared her learning experiences with students; student Nguyen Thanh Nhan reported the academic achievement expressed his deep gratitude to the leaders of the Corporation for encouragement and timely support, creating motivation for children to strive more to become good children, good students. Also in the exchange program, 18 outstanding students of PTSC Quang Ngai received the Honorary Symbol of the Corporation’s Leadership and valuable gifts from the Corporation’s Trade Union.

From July 13 – 15, 2018, the students also visited a number of historical sites and famous landmarks such as Sen Village in Uncle Ho’s hometown, visiting and offering incense at Dong Loc Junction, the resting place of General Vo Nguyen Giap, exploring Asia’s longest cave (Paradise cave). These are wonderful and memorable experiences, which will inspire the spirit of your students’ efforts to study to become useful citizens of the country and deserve the expectations, the love of teachers and parents as well as the expectations of Corporation’s Leaders, Trade Union, Youth Union and PTSC Quang Ngai./.
