In the 3rd overall maintenance phase of Dung Quat Refinery, PTSC Quang Ngai corporated with with UBF Malaysia to get honorific participation as the General Contractor role of one of the 03 international bidding packages. According to the contract of maintenance and repair contract of Package 03, it was implemented from June 10, 2017 to July 15, 2017 (35 days).
With the goal of completing the 3rd overall maintenance for Dung Quat Refinery including quality, shorten time and absolute safety, officials of PTSC Quang Ngai worked day and night enthusiastically. Referring to the workload in this 3rd overall maintenance, Mr. Ngo Tan Quang – Deputy Director of PTSC Quang Ngai, Project Director said: “PTSC Quang Ngai is one of the contractors with the largest number of labors in this 3rd overall maintenance with more than 600 people working day and night on the construction site. PTSC Quang Ngai participated in the 3rd package and implemented in Utility, Offsite, A3, PP areas, with more than 1,000 work items. This is a bidding package with a wide scope of work distributed throughout the plant, some workshops have to be handed over as soon as Unit-55 to serve the import of Crude Oil and Unit-40 (Power Plant) to restart the plant… So PTSC Quang Ngai always pays special attention to the work of quality safety and efficiency with the specific goal of finishing it there and not leaving re-work. As recorded on BSR’s progress measurement system, until July 6, 2017 PTSC Quang Ngai reached 100% progress including both arisen and unforeseen jobs (more than 30% of the contract), finished 9 days ahead of schedule and now we are urgently completing the remaining procedures to hand over then Dung Quat refinery can work again ”.
In addition, PTSC Quang Ngai also participated in Valve’s maintenance and repair in Package 6 with nearly 50% of PSV of the whole Plant and completed 03 days earlier than planned.
In this 3rd overall maintenance phase, PTSC Quang Ngai has accomplished its goals and contributed to the overall KPI of BSR. To achieve these achievements, the Board of Directors, the Project Management Board and the staff of PTSC Quang Ngai took the initiative in planning, personnel, procurement and testing, especially when items are opened during the test after opening the equipment.
