To celebrate the 86th anniversary of the establishment of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – March 26, 2017), in March 26, 2017 PTSC Quang Ngai Youth Union Executive Board organized and implemented The Youth Month with the social welfare program at the Center for Social Protection of Quang Ngai province.
The youth union members brought a lot of joy to the orphans and the lonely elderly with small gifts but full of love, the total support value is 11,105,000 VND, including 200 kg of rice, 10 backpacks for primary school students, 20 backpacks for secondary school students and 550 notebooks.
In addition, 20 youth union members of PTSC Quang Ngai participated in clearing grass, sweeping the yard around the center and planting fruit trees. This small action has helped the Center campus cleaner and the children and the elderly have sweet fruit-bearing seasons in near future.
With youth, enthusiasm and kindness, the Youth Union of PTSC Quang Ngai wishes to have many positive contributions to the community through volunteer activities in order to contribute to helping those in difficult circumstances, performing well social welfare together with locality
As part of a series of activities in response to the Youth Month – March 2017, from March 25 to March 26, 2017, PTSC Dung Quat Port Youth Branch cooperated with Quang Ngai Maritime Port Authority Youth Branch to participate in the campaign of social affairs in Ly Son island district. In addition, there was the participation of the Youth Unions of Pilotage Corporation of IV Zone – Da Nang, Sa Ky Port Management Board, Vitaco Da Nang Company, Gemadept Dung Quat International Port.
The program presented 50 gifts to students with special circumstances who overcome difficulties to study well at Ly Son District Secondary School, each gift worth 300,000 VND. In addition, the program also donated 50 round buoys and life jackets; distributing leaflets to propagate and disseminate maritime legislation for means of transport operating on the waterway route from the shore to Sa Ky – Ly Son island and fishing means on Ly Son island as well as organizing exchanges, meeting intimately among units who participated in presenting gifts at Hang Pagoda National Monument, Ly Son district.
The program has raised the awareness of cadres, staff, union members and youth about the importance of the sea and islands in socio-economic development, in protecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country, thereby, arousing the sentiments and sense of responsibility of youth towards the cause of building and defending the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
