In order to create a lively atmosphere to welcome Spring New year 2019, celebrate the 30th anniversary of National Border Day (March 3rd 1989 – March 3rd 2019) and 60 years of the traditional day of the Border Guard, Dung Quat port Border guard station and Customs Branch of Dung Quat port  border gate, Binh Thuan communal People’s Committee together with PTSC Quang Ngai and Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) successfully organized the 14th traditional volleyball tournament in Dung Quat Port area in 2019 for 2 days of February 22nd & 23rd  2019.

After 14 times of organizing, with the attention and investment from the units, this tournament was the gathering of 7 teams with the attendance of more than 80 athletes with good quality players and high professional qualifications. Over 2 days of competition & 12 exciting matches, Binh Tri Communal volleyball team excelled in defending its championship after the final 5 sets of suspense; Binh Tan commune got second prize; two teams of BSR & PTSC Quang Ngai achieved same third ones. At the same time, athlete Anh Phi of PTSC Quang Ngai team was awarded the title of “Best passer 2 in the tournament”.

The traditional volleyball tournament in Dung Quat port area created a useful playground, facilitated exchanges, experienced matches for the athletes of the teams, served local people in the area to be monitored the exciting matches at the beginning of the Ky Hoi Spring Festival. At the same time, this was an opportunity to enhance solidarity and close relationship between units, localities, border posts and local people in Dung Quat economic zone; promote the sports movement, create a healthy playground in youth union members with the motto “Strong to build and defend the Fatherland”.
